About Anglo

Our History

Anglo have been around since 1939 and my family have owned this business since 1988 when my father bought the company. My father worked in textiles in Bradford from the age of 17 in the 1950’s! I have been with the company since 1998 and the chances are that the person who answers the phone will have been working alongside me for most of that time too!

We don’t know about everything but we are experts on technical textiles and will help you find a solution even if we can’t serve you ourselves. We cover 138,000 square feet on this site and so can stock a huge range of technical textiles and converting equipment to meet our customer needs efficiently and quickly.

Our Values

Our company charter states: “in working with our customers, staff and suppliers we will endeavour to tell the truth at all times”

We accept we may fail – but this is our aim.

We also say by the way “we will not contact a member of staff whilst they are on holiday without their prior agreement.” We hope you understand this, everyone needs a holiday. But generally a colleague will be able to sort out any issue you may have in the advent that this affects you!

We have a company chaplain that offers support to our staff for any pastoral needs they may have; we are a community and we want to support each other.

Many of our staff have long service and great experience, we believe our emphasis on Christian values of truth fairness and relationships is a key to this.
